One of the PTA auction items was an opportunity to be the principal for the day. Six lucky Ardmore students got to see what it is like to be principals and have some fun along the way. Our principals for the day encouraged students to be kind to one another by passing out eagle feathers. They also popped into many classrooms to lend a helping hand and say hello. Finally, they wrote cards of gratitude to the many volunteers and teachers that help Ardmore run smoothly each and every day! When asked what her favorite part of the day was third-grade student Ella answered, “passing out lots of eagle feathers and getting to go to classrooms.” Sisters Mila and Everly said their favorite part of the day was “setting up a calm corner where students can take a break and regain their calm.” They hope this addition to Ardmore will last for many years into the future. When asked what was the hardest part about being principal for the day all students unanimously answered “all the work and walking up and down the stairs.” Kindergarten student Lucas added that “it’s tiring being principal!”
