On March 21, District 45 elementary students and their families attended a Community Drum Circle for families hosted at Ardmore Elementary School. Dr. Sharma & the Rhythm Ambassadors of Funkadesi led the interactive musical presentation. Families enjoyed an experience of music, community, and discovering that everyone has a rhythm to share.
With Funkadesi’s help, the community played music together on drums and other percussion instruments in a hands-on performing arts experience. As a special treat, District 45 Board of Education member Navreet Heneghan treated everyone to a beautiful vocal performance of a Punjabi Folk Song!
