Congratulations to Ardmore fourth-grader Caitlin M., who was chosen as a finalist in SC Johnson Professional’s 2024 “Happy Hands” dispenser design contest. The contest helps promote the importance of handwashing in schools and invites students to use their creative skills and imagination to design a custom soap/sanitizer dispenser. Caitlin and her classmates each submitted a design for the contest.
“I have had students compete in this competition for the past four years as part of our kick-off for Science,” said Ardmore Teacher Katie Mueller. “This is the first time a student has been named a finalist.”
Caitlin will now compete with other elementary (grades K-5) finalists for prize packages. The winning design will receive $1,000 for their schools, a $300 gift card for each winning student, and up to 1,000 manual soap/sanitizer dispensers featuring the winning design.
The public can vote February 8–29 at https://happyhands.scjp.com/en-us/vote. The design earning the most votes will win, with winners announced in the spring.
Congratulations, Caitlin, and good luck! Let’s get out the vote for Caitlin!
